MULTI-DAY CLASSES
YOUTH ROBOTICS BOOTCAMP
Interested in learning the basics of robotics? In this 7-week program, you will learn to code, build circuits, and use a microcontroller to interact with different kinds of sensors.
Prerequisites:
This course will be open to ages 13-16 years old
No programming or electronics experience required
Be curious! Be excited!
Course Description:
Day 1 – Basics of electricity and circuits
Day 2 – Introduction to microcontrollers, learn how to code and upload your own program
Day 3 – Interacting with sensors and actuators
Day 4-5 – Controlling a motor from a remote control
Days 5-7 – Make your own project! These last few sessions are reserved for you to come up with a creative application of the skills you’ve learned. We will guide you along the way and can provide a few ideas of our own. Examples include weather monitor, RC car, DIY musical instrument, portable music player, fortune telling machine.
What’s Included:
All participants will receive an Arduino Robotics Kits worth 58 CAD
Transportation
Guardians will be responsible for taking care of student transportation to and from Create Makerspace at 39449 Queens Way in Squamish. As our program grows, we may expand to offer transportation support.

Q: Can parents/guardians visit the Makerspace?
A: Yes! Feel free to come by during our opening hours (12-9pm Tuesday-Sunday) if you would like to check out the space or ask questions about our programs.
Q: What if I am running late to pick my kid up?
A: Please do your best to be on time - class wraps up promptly at 6pm and our instructors are only scheduled until 6:30. We understand unexpected things can happen - give us a call to let us know if you are running late.
