This more advanced woodworking course will cover the use of the jointer, planer, table saw, wide belt sander and biscuit jointer. Over the course of three sessions participants will walk away with a cutting board and their certification for Wood Tools 2.

Learning Objectives:

- Safe use of machine tools (including jointer, planer, table saw and biscuit jointer)

- Wood grain education

- Breakout and surfacing of rough sawn solid wood

- Cutting curved shapes using a template and router

Once sanded you can opt for a laser cut image on your board! Ask your instructor for available designs, or design your own and take the Laser Cutter Level 1 Class to put your own image on it.

Prerequisites:

Wood tools level 1

Things to bring:

PPE including:

• Safety glasses

• Hearing protection

• Closed toe shoes

• Remove jewelry

• Tie back long hair 

• No loose clothing

• Dust mask (optional)
