Our Mission
To create a well-equipped, accessible, inclusive community hub that makers and innovators can use in the following ways:
Business - to support artisans and aspiring creatives with the tools and space they need to thrive, including a retail store where they can sell their products. We also cater to companies looking to develop products through rapid prototyping.
Recreation - to enable hobbyists and community groups to congregate, work on and develop their passions in a supportive, safe and inspiring environment.
Education - to facilitate workshops, classes and knowledge sharing for the community.
As Squamish continues its rapid population growth, Create will be a much needed outlet for diverse recreation and culture. By providing resources and support for people to explore and cultivate their creative passions, we will nurture artisanal businesses, which will in turn stimulate the local economy.
Our strong community focus is key, as we aim to create a vibrant hub for the arts in the Sea to Sky region.
There is a burgeoning innovation scene in Squamish, and we believe that Create will become an incubator. By acting as a melting pot of high-tech machinery, boundary-pushing companies, and progressive folks, we aim to catalyse this evolution.
