This basic woodworking course will cover the use of the drill press, band saw, table router, mitre saw, track saw, various sanders, and many different hand tools. It will be mandatory for anyone who wishes to use the woodshop.

1. Shop Orientation

2. Safe operation of Machine Tools (including Band Saw, Drill Press, Compound Miter Saw, Table Saw, Table Router, Bench Sander, Dust collector) and Hand Tools (including Circular Saw with Track, Hand Router, Brad Nailer, Hand Drill/Driver, Palm Sanders, Belt Sanders)
   

Things to bring:

• Safety glasses

• Hearing protection

• Closed toe shoes

• Remove jewelry

• Tie back long hair

• No loose clothing

• Dust mask (optional)
