access & MembeRship at Create MAKErSPACE

CREATE Makerspace is your community hub for hands-on making, learning, and collaboration. Whether you’re a weekend hobbyist, a weekday creative, or an all-week maker, we have a membership option to suit your schedule and creative needs.

Accessing the space: How it works

Step 1: Get certified!

Before using our workshops and equipment, you’ll need to complete either a Fast Track assessment (for experienced makers) or a Level 1 class to get certified in the area you want to use. This ensures everyone in the space is trained and working safely.

Step 2: Get a Membership

Once certified, choose the access option that works best for you! Whether you want full monthly membership access or prefer a more flexible punch pass, we’ve got options to fit your schedule and creative goals.

Step 3: Get Making

With certification and membership in place, you’re ready to start creating! Book time on equipment, join community events, and bring your projects to life in a well-equipped, collaborative space.

MontHly Membership

For makers who want ongoing access to CREATE, a monthly membership is the best value. Memberships provide access 9am - 9pm during your selected time frame (weekend, weekday, or all week), plus perks like:

  • 10% off all classes

  • 30 minutes of free CNC & Laser Cutter time each month

  • 10% off in-house consumables and materials

  • 50% off fresh clay

  • a better commission rate in the Makershop (coming soon).

  • +unique perks to each workshop/studio space

Punch Pass

Need a bit more flexibility? A Punch Pass lets you access the space when you need it, without the commitment of a membership. Great for those with busy schedules or who just need occasional access.

Just need access for one day? We also offer one-day drop-ins for purchase at the front desk at a cost of $60/day.

Member Guest Passes

We get it, sometimes a project is hard to do with just one set of hands. Members can bring a guest to assist with their projects, either as a helper (no tools) or with limited hand tool use.

  • For when you need help safely maneuvering your project between steps, or simply need a second opinion.

    • Guests may assist with holding materials, moving projects, or observing.

    • No tool use permitted.

    • Guest must complete a waiver before entering the shop.

  • For when you need a more active helper who does some of the work for you.

    • Guests may assist with basic hand tools and hand-operated power tools (cordless drills, sanders, etc.) — woodshop only

    • No access to:

      • Fixed power tools (table saw, mitre saw, etc)

      • Metal Shop

      • Pottery Studio

      • Textiles Studio

    • Guest must complete a waiver before entering the shop.

    • Supervision by the host member is required at all times.

  • For an Active Helper who has previously completed CREATE’s Level 1 or Fast Track Certification, your guest may also use the full range of fixed Wood and/or Metal tools that they are certified for during their visit.

    • This certified guest use is limited to:

      • Working alongside their host member on the same project.

      • Under active supervision and shared responsibility.

Member Responsibility:

Members are fully responsible for the actions of their guests while on site. Any damage, misuse of tools, safety violations, or costs incurred due to a guest will be charged to the accompanying member.

Guest passes are designed for short-term helpers. For independent access, guests should register for a class or membership.
