Meet your Instructor: Heidi (Nimvar)
Heidi is an Australian-Chinese creator living on the West Coast of Canada. Drawn to the ski bum dream, she fell in love with Canada’s creative opportunities and natural beauty. During the challenges of COVID, Heidi reconnected with her Chinese heritage and innate creativity, inspiring her to explore textiles as a form of expression.
As the founder of NIMVAR, Heidi transforms neglected fabrics into one-of-a-kind, wearable art. Using thrifted and donated materials like bedsheets and quilts, each piece is lovingly handmade through a meticulous process of washing, unpicking, and patching. Heidi is excited to share her passion for sustainable creativity with you in this Sashiko Stitching Hole Repair class.
