Class Overview

Take your bike game to the next level by designing and constructing a corner bike frame bag tailored specifically to your bike. In this two-part intermediate sewing class, you’ll choose between two styles of bag (Front Corner or Rear Corner) customized to your bike, and be guided through pattern drafting, fabric selection, and construction techniques to create a durable and functional corner frame bag for your next ride.

What You’ll Learn

• How to work with technical fabrics and materials (such as cordura, flat webbing, zippers, Velcro, and paracord)

• How to customize your bike bag to your bike and design specification

• Sewing techniques (such as bartacking, backstitching, topstitching, zipper installation, and more)

• Access to sewing machines (domestic & industrial) and necessary tools

• A selection of high-quality, durable outdoor fabrics

• Essential materials like webbing, zippers, and binding

what to bring + Personal Safety

• Your bike – this will be used to draft your bag pattern

• Closed-Toe Shoes

• All loose hair tied back. 

• No Loose Clothing/Jewelry

Prerequisites

Intermediate – This class is designed for students who are comfortable setting up a sewing machine and sewing a straight line. We highly recommend taking Textiles Level 1 as a prerequisite if you are a beginner.
