Class Overview

Looking for extra guidance in the studio or want to explore new pottery techniques at your own pace? All-Levels Tutoring is a flexible, 5-week class series where you can work on your own projects while receiving hands-on support from our instructors.

Intended for those who have wheel experience but are wanting to grow their skills and expand their pottery knowledge.

Who it’s for:

This class is open to potters of all levels, however participants should have completed Wheel Level 1 or equivalent course elsewhere, and be confident centring 1lb of clay on the wheel.

Format & Registration Options:

  • 5-week series

  • Option to register for the full series for consistent guidance

  • Option to drop in for individual sessions, perfect for trying out a specific skill or getting help with a particular project

Bring your questions, projects, or curiosity, and make the most of your time in the studio with focused help.

What to expect:

  • Individualized guidance from experienced pottery instructors

  • Freedom to focus on projects and skills that interest you

  • Some projects and skills you could imagine are:

    • Refining & improving the basics

    • Lidded forms

    • Teapots

    • Throwing larger 

We encourage you to bring inspiration - in physical, photo or verbal form to help create a well-rounded vision of what you would like to create.

What’s Included

  • 10kg Bag of M340 or M340S Clay to practice and create your own pieces (5-week session registrants only, not included with drop-in registration)

  • Access to studio tools, & wheels during class

  • Drop In registrants are responsible for providing their own M340 or M340S Clay (available for purchase on arrival).

what to bring + Personal Safety

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. For your own personal safety during this class, please:

  • Wear closed-toe shoes

  • Ensure long hair is securely tied up and out of the way

  • Remove any watches & jewelry (they’ll catch on the clay!)

  • Do not wear loose clothing
