Class Overview
Experience the full process of transforming raw silver into a finished piece of jewelry. In this hands-on beginner class, you’ll start by melting silver into an ingot, then roll, shape, solder, and polish it into a custom ring to take home.
Guided by instructor Caroline Miller, you’ll learn the essential tools and techniques of silversmithing — from using a jeweler’s saw and rolling mill to torch soldering and finishing. Along the way, you’ll gain an understanding of how metal behaves under heat and pressure, and how traditional silversmiths turn raw materials into fine craft.
The cost of silver for your ring will be an additional charge, based on the size you choose.
