Kids Programming
Inspiring the next generation of makers through creativity and hands-on learning.
Accessing Create with Kids
At CREATE Makerspace, we believe in fostering creativity, hands-on learning, and skill development for makers of all ages—including the next generation! While our space is primarily designed for adults, we offer a range of structured programs and opportunities for youth under 18 to explore woodworking, pottery, textiles, and more in a safe, supportive environment.
Teen Wheel Pottery: After School Program
A 5-week pottery class designed just for teens (ages 13–18). Students learn wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing while creating their own ceramic pieces in a supportive studio environment. A fun and hands-on way to build real pottery skills after school.
Stamp Making Workshop
In the Stamp Making Workshop, kids get to bring their own designs to life! From planning and preparing their artwork to engraving and mounting it on a wooden block, they’ll take part in every step of the creative process. By the end of the session, each participant will have a one-of-a-kind stamp they can proudly take home.
Intergenerational Woodworking Classes
Our Sunday morning family-friendly woodworking sessions allow kids (ages 6-15) to build exciting projects alongside a parent, grandparent, or mentor. Learn tool safety, hand-tool techniques, and teamwork—all while creating something amazing together!
Private Classes for Kids & Families
Looking for a tailored experience? We offer private classes for youth (up to 2 students per session), designed to match their interests and skill levels. These 1-on-1 sessions are priced at $100/hour and can focus on woodworking, textiles, or other making skills.
Youth Memberships (Ages 13+)
Youth aged 13 and older are eligible for a buddy membership at CREATE when accompanied by an adult member.
