Herb Planter Workshop
Take your wood working skills for a spin on this beginner friendly herb planter workshop. Over the course of two sessions, participants will build on the skills learned in Wood Tools 1 to make a window herb planter for six pots featuring lap joints, edges profiled with the router, and evenly drilled holes.
Class dates:
Mondays 6pm-9pm, June 20th and June 27th
Learning Outcomes:
Practice repeatable, safe cuts on the table saw
Learn various joinery techniques including cutting dado’s to create lap joints
Advance your table saw knowledge with dado cuts, and the cross-cut sled
Practice using the drill press, the table router, and various sanding methods to finish your planter
Pre-requisites:
Wood Tools 1
Things to bring:
PPE including:
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Closed toe shoes
- Dust mask (optional)
Remove jewelry
Tie back long hair
No loose clothing
