This is a three class workshop:

  • April 24th 6pm - 9pm

  • May 1st 6pm - 9pm

  • May 8th 6pm - 9pm

Learning Objectives:

· Using a pattern to make a pair of lounge pants, including measuring, cutting, piecing together and sewing.

· Add pockets and elastic waistband.

· Using an industrial serger to finish seams.

What to bring:

Create has some light sport knit fabric available for participants in a variety of colors, but if you'd like a specific fabric or pattern, we recommend bringing your own. Feel free to drop in and see our fabric options before class if you want to check!

Fabric requirements are as follows: 2 metres of fabric (sweatshirt fleece, flannel, modal, French terry or bamboo) will be sufficient for most students to make their pants. If you think you may need more, send us a message, and we can help you get what you need!

Thread, elastic, printed pattern, and all tools are supplied.

Pre-requisites:

- We recommend students to have taken Textiles 1, or be familiar with using the basic function of a home sewing machine (threading the machine and straight stitching).
