Duration: 3 hours, from 10 am to 1 pm - including a 30-minute break for tea and cake!
What you will learn:
Introduction to natural dye techniques and a foundation to develop your dyeing
Two natural dye techniques:
eco-printing / bundle dyeing with spring flowers
mordant painting with plant dye baths
What you will get from this course:
Two finished organic cotton bandanas - can also be used as wall-hanging pieces if you prefer!
Take home dye instructions for continuing your practice

Instructor Bio:
This workshop is hosted by Sobremesa. Sobremesa is an independent B.C. based publication that uses recipes to tell stories about connection to landscapes. Sobremesa is a collaboration between Maria, a natural dye artist from Vernon, and Kat, a journalist and multimedia artist based in Squamish.
