SINGLE SESSION ClASS

Basic Tops Class

Discover sewing fundamentals and make your own shirt using one of three designs of your choice.

Class Overview

Learn your way around the CREATE Makerspace textiles studio while sewing your own shirt. Starting with pattern reading and fabric handling basics, you’ll choose from three pattern options at the beginning of class:
• A classic T-shirt
• Two women’s shirt styles in beginner-friendly silhouettes

Across the patterns, sizes from S to 2XL are available so you can make a shirt that fits you well. We’ll guide you through using a commercial pattern, cutting fabric, working with a sewing machine, and finishing your garment with hems using a twin needle.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with both new skills and a finished, wearable shirt you made yourself.
